VM LAB Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 15, 2026
This unified Privacy Policy explains how VM LAB handles information across its websites, apps, contact forms, support pages, and related project pages.
Apps covered by this Privacy Policy
Seconds
- Analytics: Yes — limited widget activity analytics only
- Tracking: No
- Ads: No
- Accounts: No
- IDFA: Not used
- Cross-app or cross-site tracking: No
Seconds uses your device system time and local settings to provide the app and widget. To understand whether configured Seconds widgets continue to be serviced by iOS over time, Seconds uses PostHog for limited product analytics.
The Seconds Widget Extension may send a widget_active analytics event no more than once every seven days when Apple WidgetKit requests a widget timeline. This event is a technical indication that WidgetKit has requested the widget timeline; it does not prove that a person viewed or interacted with the widget.
The analytics payload is limited to a randomly generated persistent installation identifier, the event timestamp, the widget family, and a source value identifying the Widget Extension. The installation identifier is used to recognize repeat activity from the same app installation over time. It is not an advertising identifier and is not tied inside Seconds to a name, email address, account, or other contact information.
Seconds does not send an app-open analytics event. It does not send widget colors, visual design choices, user-entered settings, contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifiers, or data for cross-app advertising or tracking.
PostHog acts as an analytics service provider for this limited widget activity data. VM LAB uses the information only to measure aggregate widget usage, understand whether widgets remain active over time, maintain the app, and improve the product. VM LAB does not sell this data or use it for targeted advertising.
GIG Income
GIG Income is a manual income and expense tracker for gig workers. App-specific privacy details are also available on the GIG Income privacy page.

Analytics and cookies
VM LAB may use analytics tools to understand website traffic and improve user experience. App-specific sections above explain whether and how each app uses analytics.
For Seconds, the limited PostHog analytics described above are used for product analytics only and are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. We may share information with service providers that help operate websites, process forms, provide analytics, manage email communication, host data, or support business operations. These providers may process information on our behalf for the services they provide.
For Seconds, PostHog receives the limited widget analytics described in the Seconds section above. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including product analytics, support, business operations, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and security. Retention periods may vary by data type and service provider.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding personal information. You may also have rights relating to certain sharing, targeted advertising, or marketing communications where applicable.
Seconds does not contain an account system and its analytics installation identifier is not tied inside the app to your name or email address. You may still contact VM LAB with privacy questions or requests, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
California privacy notice
If you are a California resident, California privacy laws may provide additional rights regarding your personal information, including rights to know, access, correct, or delete certain information and to opt out of certain sale or sharing where applicable.
VM LAB does not sell Seconds analytics data and does not use Seconds analytics for cross-context behavioral advertising.
